Conway, Arkansas

Coach Summar Roachell
Coach Mary Michael Witherell
Roachell is completing her first season leading the Bears. This
comes after one year as an assistant at the University of Central Florida. As a player, Roachell played 4 years on the LPGA’s Symetra Tour (Epson Tour), played 4 years at the University of Arkansas helping the team capture __ team titles. She was a 4 time high school state champion, 3 time overall state champion, and a member of Team USA for the 2011 Junior Solheim Cup. Currently, Roachell has two former players playing professionally in Tunrada Piddon (Thai LPGA) and Anna Nordfors (Epson Tour/WAPT).
Witherell is completing her first season at UCA and 9th as a coach. As a player, Witherell is an Arkansas high school state champion, a multiple time ASGA Junior Player of the Year, and graduated from Texas A&M University with 3 wins including a Big XII individual championship. Before joining the staff at UCA, she has made coaching stops at Houston, Baylor, Florida State and Texas A&M. Witherell has helped programs to 8 NCAA appearances, 22 tournament wins, 12 All-Americans. Currently Witherell has former players on the LPGA, LET, Epson, Korn Ferry and PGA Tour.
She enjoys staying active outside and spending time with her husband (Scott) and son (Samuel).
Summar Roachell
"I am excited to be back in Conway as the head women's golf coach at UCA," said Roachell, who was an eight-time university honor roll student-athlete and a three-time SEC Community Service selection while at Arkansas. "It is a special opportunity to have my first head coaching position be in my hometown. I am very grateful for Dr. Brad Teague and President Davis for this opportunity and their belief in me.

The University of Central Arkansas Athletics provides our student athletes with access to some of the best golf courses in the region. Each player receives a full membership to Maumelle Country Club, which allows them complete access as well as Conway Country Club and Centennial Valley Golf Club within 5 minutes of campus. We practice and play at these courses' multiple times a week, as well as Pleasent Valley and Alotian in Little Rock throughout the semester. The city of Conway embraces UCA athletes and provides with access to all of the best courses in the area.
